School Nursing Team
Throughout the academic year, our School Nursing Team, based in the newly purposed Medical Suite, is available on site during the school day.
The team, comprising of two qualified nurses and a healthcare assistant, provide a friendly, easily accessible and confidential health service to all pupils. The core role of the team is to care for pupils who are injured or unwell, providing the appropriate treatment and advice to enable them to return to school life, or if necessary, organising further medical care. When required, the School Nursing Team will liaise with parents to support the treatment and recovery of the pupils.
The Lead School Nurse works closely with the pastoral and core safeguarding teams to promote the positive wellbeing of all our pupils.
Leicester Grammar School Trust, in conjunction with Leicester and Leicestershire partnership NHS Trust, facilitates the provision of the school aged immunisation programme in line with government guidance and recommendations.
