During our previous Economics Society meeting we embarked on a journey into understanding mergers and acquisitions. This talk was led by expert in the field, Dr Deborah Ainge. She shared with the society her vast knowledge and experience with multi-million-pound Plc Clinigen, and the mergers and acquisitions that took place during her time there. This allowed Clinigen to dominate a niche in the pharmaceutical sector while avoiding persecution from the competition and mergers authority.
