What is it?

Every year students in Prep to Year 13 compete in the Tom Ellis Cross Country Run. This is a 3km run/jog/walk for one house point or those amongst our school community who are competitive, want a challenge and keen to demonstrate their resolve and resilience will have the opportunity to run the 5km course for two house points, personal pride and recognition on the honours board and silverware.

Why do we do it?

The aim of the run is to remember a cherished member of our community who demonstrated the attributes of strength, courage and determination in adversity going through cancer treatment and end of life care. This event takes place to remember and raise money in memory of Tom, who showed a great deal of courage throughout his battle with cancer.

Where does the money go?

All money raised is split between the Cancer Teenage Trust and Brain Tumour Charity, as selected by the Ellis family, which are two fantastic causes.

This event is just a small part of remembering a valued member of our community and an opportunity for staff, students and the wider community to celebrate the life of a student who gave so much to the school.
